Mikumi National Park is one of Tanzania's most accessible and diverse wildlife destinations, located in the southeastern part of the country. 

Mikumi National Park spans an area of approximately 3,230 square kilometers (1,250 square miles), making it the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania. Situated to the north of the Selous Game Reserve and alongside the Tanzania-Zambia highway, it is easily accessible by road, making it a popular destination for both local and international visitors.

Mikumi National Park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, home to a wide variety of animals, including large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and impalas. Predators such as lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas are also present, along with a diverse range of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
